Privacy rules for www.vestec.no 

At Vestec AS, we are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. We work hard to follow the regulations on personal protection that are in force at any given time. At the same time, parts of the regulations are open to interpretation and the "best ways" to follow the regulations are not clear enough as of June 2018. Changes on this side may come.

The accuracy of your information is important to us. If you have registered as a customer in our online store, you can log in from http://service.vestec.no/index.cfm?tmpl=login. From here you can change your contact details and view your order history. If you would like additional information about any data we have stored about you, please send us an e-mail at kundeservice@vestec.no . Alternatively, send us mail to our physical address. Alternatively, you can call us. You have the right to request a copy of the information Vestec AS has stored about you. 

SECURITY RULES TO PROTECT YOUR INFORMATION
When you provide us with personal information, we take steps to ensure that it is treated securely. Our website is protected with SSL. When we receive your information, we do our utmost to secure the information in our systems.

PROCESSOR AND DATA PROCESSOR
Vestec AS is responsible for processing personal data that is processed in connection with the use of our websites. That Vestec AS is the data controller means that it is Vestec AS that has responsibility and obligations under the Personal Data Act.

A company that processes data on behalf of Vestec AS is called a data processor. We are currently working on putting data processing agreements in place. These will regulate how the data processor can process data to which the data processor has access. In general, such an agreement regulates that the data processor may only process the personal data on Vestec AS' behalf and only for clearly defined purposes.

THIRD PARTY TOOLS
Vestec AS uses the following third-party tools on our website:

• WordPress – the publishing system that powers the website
• Google Analytics - website measurement, here we have switched on the anonymisation function
• Google Tag Manager – handles tags and scripts
• WooCommerce - the online store system 
• Contact Form 7 – handles contact forms
• Zen Desk Chat – solution that handles chat

In some cases, we need to send your information to our third-party tools, but only to complete tasks and provide services to you on our behalf - and we only send the information that is necessary.

USE OF "COOKIES"
In the same way as many other websites, Vestec AS's website also uses cookies. A cookie is a small text file that is stored on your device by websites you visit.
They collect data about your surfing habits, but do not identify you as an individual. This helps us improve our website and display relevant marketing.
